"How wonderful it is that nobody need wait for a single moment before starting to improve the world"
Anne Frank - Diary of a young girl - 1952

Whilst South Africa is rich in opportunities, the business sector has a responsibility to embrace and support initiatives which can help shape a prosperous future for our country and all its people. Through its Social Responsibility Policy Gratech ensures that it contributes in a meaningful way towards meeting the social challenges facing our country.

Gratech has committed itself amongst numerous other projects, to financially assist Oliver's Village Building Project in Zenzele Informal Settlement and the St Jane's Orphanage in Kelvin, Johannesburg. We encourage our employees to utilize opportunities in community investment.

St Jane's Orphanage
St Jane's is an orphanage that cares for HIV positive, abandoned & orphaned children who cannot look after themselves.

Gratech provides food, nappies, formula and toys and our employees volunteer their time to play with the children.

We must use time wisely and forever realize that the time is always ripe to do right.

Oliver's House
Oliver's House is a charity organisation that was established in May 2001 and today they successfully manage two feeding programmes, a children's care centre, an education centre and a computer training centre.

During the colder months of the year they find that their resources are stretched to the limit and Gratech assists by financially supporting their Hunger Buster campaign. Every month they hand out food parcels to needy families within the Zenzele Informal Settlement, including food parcels to families in the Putfontein area.

Gratech also purchases their corporate gift hampers for our clients as an additional means of supporting this charity organisation.

Ferndale Arboretum
Gratech volunteers and the Ferndale community joined forces and cleaned up the beautiful Spruit that runs through the suburb of Ferndale in Randburg.

There can be no keener revelation of a society's soul than the way in which it treats its children.

Lehae la Tshepo Children's Centre

Lehae la Tshepo has been formed in response to the serious social situation concerning young children, in the Windsor area of Randburg. Schools, parents, police, community organizations and churches have expressed the urgent need for a centre that can cater to the interests of children at risk from the ravages of drug lords, child prostitution in the area and poverty.

Lehae la Tshepo focuses its attention on the children whose parents cannot afford after school care. At Lehae la Tshepo children receive food, assistance with homework, access to sporting and other social activities. Many parents and children also require counselling and food support via food parcels. Each child is precious.

Gratech staff & volunteers supported Non Profit Organization, New Acropolis to raise funds for Lehae la Tshepo Children's Centre.

Skills Development at Gratech

Mandela Day is an annual celebration of Nelson Mandela's life and a global call to action for people to recognise their individual power to make an imprint and change the world around them.

Heeding this call, Gratech took action and selected Bhule Dlamini as our Mandela Day gift. Bhule will be upskilled in all aspects of a Receptionist / Administrator's role - Gratech's way of creating employment for the nation.
